Known as the 'Butcher Baker', Robert Hansen was a feared serial killer who abducted, raped and murdered at least 17 women in and around Anchorage, Alaska; he hunted many of them down in the wilderness with a Ruger Mini-14 and a knife.

He was eventually arrested in 1983, following a police search of his home that found jewellery he had taken as trophies from his victims.
